Retirees and pensioners of the extinct airline Varig staged a protest in the lobby of Santos Dumont Airport on the afternoon of Wednesday (31) at 14.30, charging a decision of the Supreme Court, which determined the payment of retirement from Aerus (pension Varig ) by Union.

Retirees threatened to burn a “doll Judas”, which represent Luis Inacio Adams, Chief Minister of the Attorney General of the Union.

The protest was aimed at sensitizing the population to the needs experienced by former employees of the company, more than ten thousand families who depend on the resources of Aerus.

The workers contributed to the fund during the years they worked for the company, but since Varig closed, the payment has been reduced. Today, they receive only 8% of the payment.

There will be other manifestation in Congonhas (SP), Salgado Filho (RS), Afonso Pena (PR), and Recife.
