It was delivered on Thursday (1) feasibility studies of new concessions the two airports, Galeão in Rio de Janeiro, and Confins in Minas Gerais.

Payment amounts granted – how much the winning bidder must pay the government to administer the airport – have changed from what was originally planned.

The value of Galeão airport increased from R$ 4.6 billion to R$ 4.7 billion, while the airport Confins reduced the initial value of R$ 1.6 billion to R$ 1 billion. The initial value of Confins was criticized for being considered a high risk investment.

The government is hoping to auction the two airports in October this year, but TCU still have 45 days to review the studies and decide whether the edict will be published. The auction date can also be changed according to the decision of TCU. After the publication of the notice, companies will have between 30 and 45 days to submit proposals.
